manual therapy
‘Hands on’
Manual therapy is a clinical approach where musculoskeletal dysfunctions are assessed and treated by the hands of the therapists.
Joint structures (spine, shoulder,…) are examined and special techniques help to modulate pain, increase range of motion and therefore restore their function.
Similarly soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, connective tissue…) can be treated in order to reduce or eliminate soft tissue tenderness, relax the injured structure, enhance tissue repair and facilitate movement.
This approach (soft tissue & joint structures) has proven to be very effective for achieving long lasting results both in sports and activities of daily life related problems.
Numerous professional development courses (in Austria, Europe & overseas) have provided us with various manual therapy concepts (Typaldos’ Fascial Distortion Model, Cyriax, Maitland, Kaltenborn, Mulligan) to manage your condition efficiently
